The moving date is fast approaching; suddenly you remember you’ve got a lot of things to do. You already have a plan in your head and maybe even on paper. You’ve got your Welland moving company already booked hopefully. It’s a hectic time.

1. Cancel memberships

Depending on where you’re moving to, you may end up finding your gym membership or classes being a waste of money. First check in with any memberships you have about cancellation policies to avoid hidden fees. Make sure if you have any automatic monthly Amazon or other deliveries that you cancel them in advance as well or update your address. Unfortunately, most Welland movers are not going to go to your old house and pick up your packages every month.

2. Pack loose hardware and awkward items

You’ll need to leave a few things behind when selling a house, keys, locks, bathtubs, so on and so forth. Make sure you’re not leaving things behind that aren’t for the new homeowner—your hammer, screws, or important small objects that Welland movers won’t grab. Try to tape your screws and other fixtures to the item they belong to so you can avoid losing them during a move. November 19th, 2022 - the day of my move from my home in Niagara Falls to my new home in Thorold, we found ourselves in a foot of snow with more on the way, high winds and extreme cold!! The four young men arrived on time and were ready for the hard work of loading and carefully taking my furniture onto their truck. (Using moving blankets and strapping, mindful of not damaging the flooring and walls and my furniture) Arrived at my new address in a timely manner and again taking care moving all furniture and setting up beds and other furniture requiring set up! One piece, a large leather couch required 2 men to carefully maneuver through a narrow doorway at the bottom of the stairs into the family room needing at least a half hour of time without damage to walls, ceiling, doorway, flooring or furniture! Remarkable young men. I’d highly recommend “Bob The Mover” for your next move!
